What we do together
We are all here to develop as musicians. But we also want to become well-rounded musicians. In my studio, we thoroughly explore the basics:
- Producing a good tone
- Playing with healthy technique
- Performing notes and rhythms with accuracy
- Reading music notation fluently
- Playing expressively
And we get curious about experimenting with new ideas:
- Improvising
- Composing
- Learning through games
- Learning by rote (patterns)
- Ear training
- Studying music theory
- Playing music of various genres
Together, we build a solid foundation so that in the long-run students can:
- Have a means of self-expression
- Become curious independent learners
- Be mentally and creatively engaged
- Improve focus and problem-solving
- Feel empowered that they can accomplish any goal they set their mind to
- Experience the joy of making music!
We cover a lot of territory, but I still like to keep things light and fun. 🙂
The goal of each lesson is for students to leave feeling confident and excited about music, with a giant smile to boot!
